Toni was poised for the portal to open. His hand tightened around the handle of the iron sword as the portal wavered. A small creature crept through the corner and halted at the sight of the sword.
“Why are you here?” the creature asked. “We have not organised any meeting with you.”
“Someone else did. Someone who paid me a good amount of money to ensure you didn’t come back.” Toni said.
“Unfortunate soul. Who paid you? And you may as well put the sword back in it’s sheath. We both know you would not use it against me.”
“Titania, it was a lot of money.”
“You swore never to raise a sword against me. You do not want to be forsworn.”
“I won’t be.” He smiled.
Titania turned to run but was trapped as a dark, black cloth engulfed her.
